The pic on their webpage makes it look as though the motel sits directly on the beach, it however is across street. Not a long walk but felt purposely mislead. When we got to our room, a king suite, we nearly turned around and left. There was barely enough room to get the luggage cart in to unload our bags. Very disappointed after paying almost $250 a night.

We came here as a family for a weekend away from the theme park parks and such in Orlando. Firstly, its in a great location right on Lido beach. Cross over a fairly quiet road snd you're sat on beautiful sand overlooking the Gulf. The hotel however is very tired and the decor is outdated and shabby. Spend some money Holiday Inn! However, of special mention is Chuck the server in the restaurant (again amazing views in a tired room). Chuck was a delight and a very nice man. Charming, polite and professional. He made our breakfast enjoyable. Also Marjorie in the bar deserves a mention for being efficienpt and polite even when faced with some rather drunken guests...Finally horrendously noisy aircon units that sounded like a helicopter taking off.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Holiday Inn Sarasota - Lido Beach. It has the best location of any hotel or rental on the Key, and the view cannot be any better, (if your room is facing the Gulf). I have to pinch myself everytime I stand on my balcony because the view is dreamlike! This was my second time at this property and I would go love to come back again. It is also closer than all the other hotels/condos to St. Armands Circle. It can't be beat!!!!

This hotel is not particularly attractive from the outside - it looks like a 1970's Russian housing block- but it looks on to the best area of lido beach and is within easy walking distance of st armand's circle.
Our room was spacious and comfortable but could do with an update. The staff were efficient and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the view from the restaurant is fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.
