The staff were very helpful in all areas,.
The hotel was a quiet place to chill for the reason i was there for 2 days

Room Tip: rooms were all renovated so its just a view thing ,but the water view was not a extra payment i woul...

Stayed for five nights with the family after a very full-on week of theme parks in Orlando. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt and will hopefully return to Sarasota in the future.

Quiet location on the harbour is excellent but its also close enough to the centre of town for restaurants as well as having easy access to beaches. The staff were helpful without exception and the 'resort' feel to the pool area, with fire pit for Smores in the evening, took away all the stresses of the previous week! The gym is very small and fairly claustrophobic but, if you want to exercise, there's a nice running route over the bridge to the beaches, though best avoided in the midday heat of August.

A handful of negatives, but none of them will stop me returning. The evening restaurant menu was limited and when we visited, several mains were unavailable; the business centre was full of kids playing games on the first day and then out of service for the rest of our stay; the resort fee covered the hire of paddleboards and fishing rods, but they were never available when we wanted to use them and the guy at the waterside responsible for them seemed totally disinterested. But they're relatively trivial and the rest of the stay was excellent.

We also looked at the Ritz Carlton which is practically next door, but they wanted to charge us a huge amount each day for the children to have breakfast. Hyatt was a bit more grown up about it!

Room Tip: Most have good views - one side overlooks the bay, the other the pool and harbour. A standard double...

We had to spend one night in Sarasota to pick up our daughter from an internship at the Mote Laboratory, so we decided to splurge a little. The last time we were there in June, we stayed at the Hyatt Place Bradenton Airport, which was a very nice hotel. We decided to stay at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota.

We were beyond pleasantly surprised. The property was beautiful, located on a harbor. It was far enough from Tamiami Trail Rd to suppress all road noise from this major street. Our room was spacious, and located on the west side of the hotel, overlooking the harbor. They had a happy hour, a pool with whirlpool spa, a firepit, and an excellent restaurant. We paid a $15/day "resort fee" which included rentals of paddleboats, kayaks, and bicycles, WiFi, and free in-room water bottles! (unheard of!). We also bought the breakfast package which included a fully-stocked buffet breakfast (about 30' of food!), with the option of getting a custom egg dish, and freshly-squeezed orange juice! Also, the staff was top-rate, and very helpful.

We're already planning our next visit to Sarasota, and we will definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency.

Room Tip: For a beautiful view, get a room overlooking the harbor.

1st time to Sarasota and was impressed by this Hotel's location and cleanliness. We came in with friends, via a boat which we docked right at the hotel! Room was very spacious and more importantly clean and tidy.

Pros: See above, but also, staff was nice and the views were great. Close to beach.

Cons: The pool was a bit crowded and the cocktails were overpriced (and not filled to the top).

This hotel was more than I expected...I was just stopping over for the evening...but can see where it would be a fabulous family vacation spot. You are right by the beach, with beautiful views from the room windows...beautiful pool with food & bar...and a dock with boat accessibility! Wished I could have stayed longer....

beautiful and clean hotel.
staff is wonderful and friendly.
rooms are very well furnished and clean.
Down sides: no free breakfast and no BRAVO tv channel.
The hotel restaurant, Currents, serves tasty and fresh food. I had the best meal there.
The location of the hotel is great. It is a short walk to downtown which has restaurants, shops and a great Whole foods. There is also a free shuttle to Siesta Beach multiple times a day. Siesta Beach is the most beautiful beach I have ever been to.
Included in the resort fee are free bike/kayak/paddleboard rental.
This is a great hotel and I highly recommend it.

I stayed here 4 nights with my family and enjoyed staying there very very much!
ROOM: I stayed at a standard room with pool and marina view which was beautiful (see my photos). The room was roomy, the bed was comfy & clean, the view was amazing, and the shower was very good. They only put basic toiletries in the room, however, they can provide you most of everything if you requested: razor, q-tips, make-up remover, face moisturizer, sunscreen, sewing kit, comb, feminine products, mouthwash, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.

SERVICE: The housekeepers do a great job cleaning and stocking up the toiletries everyday. The front desk is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff is also friendly. The decor of this hotel is so pretty (white & pink theme but not too feminine, it's modern). The bell service is excellent. They stand outside under 98F weather for hours and still smiling :-)

POOL & WATER ACTIVITIES: The pool is not so big but big enough that you don't feel too crowded. The waterfall adds a charm to the pool side atmosphere. There is the poolside bar which service great cocktails and snack/lunch. The depth of pool starts from your knee high to 6'4" but it's clearly labeled around the pool for your safety. There is a hot tub in the back with waterfall which is very relaxing and if you go under the waterfall, it's like hydro-massage and it feels good! There are kayak, paddle boats, paddle boards and bikes that you can rent free.

I had breakfast at the restaurant every morning. Coffee was good but they also sell starbucks coffee/tea at the bar in the morning which is also good. Food there is decent, nothing fancy but they have good basic breakfast items. Breakfast buffet starts from $17.99. I also enjoyed "the middle of the night" snack by their room service. I loved their bib salad and healthy juices.

I'll be traveling to Sarasota a few more times this year and I'll definitely go back to Hyatt Regency Sarasota!

PS: It's about 10-12 min drive from the airport. They have shuttle services to Lido Beach and St. Amands circle which is only 10+ min away. Wifi is free with the resort fee you pay ($15) and it's really good wifi.

Room Tip: The marina view is excellent but the city view also has the bay view and beautiful as well.
