This is a great hotel to stay in. You are in the middle of all attractions. They also give a 7-10am breakfast and they are friendly people. Iam planning to return for the month of September. I had a wonderful time here. The room brings a coffee maker, iron, and a hair blow dryer.....they will even give you any small items that you forgot to pack like a brush, toothpaste, toothbrush etc. For this price you can't beat it. I enjoy my stay and I will reccommend this place to anybody who is on vacation or a business trip.

When I first heard I was staying at a Best Western for a business trip (and it was $65 a night), I was horrified. But upon arriving, I was extremely pleased to find a cute, comfortable, clean hotel. The exterior corridors were fine based on the fact that it was Florida in July. The pool was nice and clean. The rooms were nice and it seemed like everything was fairly new, and definitely clean (a sign out front said it had been recently renovated and it seemed like it probably was). Thanks to Elizabeth and Roger, who were both very friendly and helpful. Especially for the price, I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. One downside is that although it was a pretty central location, and everything was close by, you had to drive everywhere, there was nowhere to walk to besides Bennigans. But very very nice overall!!

On the basis of reviews on this site, I booked a 2 night stay at this motel.
The good - room and bath were clean and bed was comfortable. The not so good - I booked the "special advance purchase" rate which is advertised as "shop early and save".....non-refundable, no cancellations, not able to change and credit card is pre-charged. When I arrived, the three giggling desk clerks who seemed more interested in chit-chatting than anything else. As they pecked away at the computer for an endless amount of time...I was finally told that my room was "not ready." The interesting part is as I sat for 50 minutes in the lobby....several "walk-ins" without reservations arrived and were checked-in at a rate lower per night than my "shop early and save" rate. When I questioned the desk clerk, she just stared at me. Next, the air conditioning unit was one of the loudest that I've ever experienced, and on "full blast" it barely cooled the room. At night, there was a choice....turn off the air conditioner and attempt to sleep in the sweltering heat, or turn the unit on and get no sleep because of the constant roaring noice. I'll stay elsewhere next time!

This is THE place to stay if you want to be close to the Sarasota Hospital.Breakfast was slim but server nice. In walking distance to gricery,hospital,restaurants.
