The price and location for this place can't be beat, but there are some down sides. The neighborhood is wonderful, and it's very close to the beach. The room was spacious. They have a middle communal patio and a table and chairs outside. As another reviewer mentioned it appears clean, but I also found some remnants of previous occupants. I always bring bleach wipes no matter where we stay. When I wiped everything down there wasn't anything to indicate it was dirty. It's just outdated. The last day there though, I noticed a nasal strip stuck to the top of the dust ruffle that was definitely not ours since we don't use them and an old travel size bottle of AXE shower gel on the floor under the suitcase rack. There is no hair dryer in the room. The kitchen was equipped well. There is no housekeeping service during your stay, but as the other reviewer mentioned you call call the manager's cell phone. We were given 2 bath towels, 1 washcloth, and a bath mat for a 3 night stay for 2 people. I asked for extra washcloths and was given some, but they had what appeared to be dog hair all over them. There was plenty of toilet paper and bar soap, but you'll have to buy your own paper towels or napkins, which is sometimes the case with condos. It's not a bad place to stay if you don't mind overlooking a few things and bringing your own washcloths!

This is a small motel on a side street on Lido Key, just a block from the beach. The location can't be beat. The studio size room, which I had, is spacious. The impression is of a clean, well-lighted place, as my friend put it when she saw it. She preferred it to a small condo she was staying in nearby. There were a few issues, though, mostly having to do with housekeeping, or lack thereof. Though the room was basically clean, I found some items from a previous occupant that hadn't been cleared out of a drawer; then there was no sign of any housekeeping at all for the week. For that matter, I didn't see any of the staff during my stay, though there's a phone number to call if you need something.

The neighborhood the hotel is in is quiet and comfortable - a bit of old Florida, as my friend put it. The beach is just across the street. For more excitement, Armand circle is a short drive away, as is the Sarasota city center.

Bring your own cellphone and laptop. There's WiFi access, but no phone in the rooms. There are dishes and utensils, coffee-maker, stove and toaster and plenty of cleaning supplies. Bring a can opener if you think you'll need one.

Very clean accomodation & linens, location can't be beat, pleasant manager, & extremely affordable. Old Florida charm with terazzo floors, turquoise shower curtains. If you don't need all the bells & whistles, would rather save your money and enjoy the natural attractions in the area, this is a clean well-equipped accomodation.
