Went to Patrick's for the first time. Since they advertise that they are a "steak" restaurant, I thought I would try one. I ordered the Filet Mignon with Bernaise. After waiting for quite some time our dinners arrived. I knew upon seeing the steak that it may be overcooked, as it was charred. I had ordered it to be cooked "medium" (a warm pink center). When I cut through the center of the steak it was cooked medium-well to well done. The waitress promptly checked back with us and agreed on the overcooking and took it back to the kitchen. The second steak come out, first looking more like a sirloin than a filet, when cut through the center was also overcooked. The waitress waited while I cut into it and said immediately that it was overcooked. Again, she returned to the kitchen with my steak. The manager came to our table and explained that he would be sending out a third steak cooked medium-rare, impying that I did not know how to order my steak. I was appalled at his remarks to me. The third steak indeed was cooked medium-rare to rare in the center. I had the steak boxed for home, we paid the full bill (of just under $50 for the steak, a grouper sandwich and 1 iced tea) and left. I will never return their again. The grouper meal was average at best. Not even worth another try.
