Very good food, excellent servers, huge restaurant with a large gift shop upstairs. The food is traditionally German, Pennsylvania Dutch, Amish influenced, which is to be expected as it is in an area of Sarasota populated by Amish and Mennonite folks. They have an extensive menu and a very large buffet and salad bar. The salad bar has many items, all fresh and tasty. The hot buffet also has a large number of choices, including broasted chicken, roasted turkey, roast beef, and far too many other proteins and side dishes to mention here. The dinner buffet is $13.99 and includes both the salad bar, hot buffet, cakes and soft serve ice cream. Plan on eating here on a day when you have not had too many calories for breakfast and lunch and be sure to pace yourself. Expect a long line, though it does move fast as the restaurant is huge.
