“Nice atmosphere. Food is good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

We have eaten here twice and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The fried chicken is good and so are the burgers. They have a varied menu with many offerings and the bar is an attractive area as well. Give it a try I think you will enjoy the restaurant and the St Armand's area is so attractive and enjoyable.

“Very very good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Let me start out by saying I am a foodie. The Shore did not disappoint. The hostess (Hayley) was all about service and checked on us several times. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was awesome! I had the Tuna entree and my wife had the lobster sliders and beet salad. We both raved about our food! Will be back for sure. Not one negative thing to say!

“great location, pricey, small portions, grit in quinoa”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

we went to St armand's circle, a wonderful place to hang out, shop, graze, etc and decided after walking to circle to try Shore because of it's appearance. We ordered veggies of the day for $7 which consisted of two baby zucchini and two baby pattypan squash. Not flavorful and certainly not enough for $7. We also order Quinoa appetizer (also served in entrée as squash filling) for $9? and each bite had grit in it so I was afraid of chipping a tooth. The roasted beet salad was composed of a bed of arugula, with one roasted and quartered beet, surrounded by dabs of goat cheese with a vinegrette. it was tasty but for $9 should have been larger. We also tried the lobster sliders, three Hawaii bread buns with a lobster salad filling for $16. While the sweet bread gave the sliders flavor, it was otherwise uninteresting. The drinks were adequate but also pricey. Don't know if this is just the area or this restaurant but I wouldn't make it my regular place, for the prices they charge give me a Capital Grill or Oceannaire..

“Great atmosphere but, food not so great!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Food was better in first six months. Somethings are o.k. Do not get fried chicken, really gross. It is open and just too hot and humid for summer. They are wasting alot of energy and air.

“Must have been a bad day...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

5 of us went for lunch this week. I arrived early (around 12.40) to find the restaurant almost empty. I asked the hostess if we could move a small round table from the 'dinner' area about 10 feet into the dining area as the other option was to move 2 tables for four together.

Most people know that a round table is much more conducive for conversation and ensures that everyone is included.

The hostess said 'that would be too much work' - obviously with about 10 other diners there and the waitresses standing around talking to each other = they could not be bothered.

So two of them dragged two tables for four together.

One of the ladies ordered sparkling water. The waitress brought the bottle and a glass. When the guest asked for ice the waitress said 'I did not bring you ice because most people who order water don't want ice'. The guest said 'I would like some ice' The waitress said 'oh, ok then'.

One guest ordered the skirt steak and left most of it because it was too tough to eat. The waitress could easily see that most of the lunch was left but did not ask if there were any issues.

The lobster salad sandwich at $18 was mostly giant brioche bread.

The presentation of all the meals was very sloppy.

It was a birthday and they did offer a free dessert for the birthday girl which was nice and the chocolate cake was very good. The waitress brought five forks but I had to get up and go to another table that was partially set to get side plates for us to put the cake on.

I agree with Courtney B that the staff are uptight. There seemed to be two hostesses and the first one I encountered could not have been more disinterested.

I think this is a great place to meet people for drinks. But at these prices and for the 'attitude' service I would go across the street to Tommy Bahamas for a meal any day.
