“A hole in the wall worthy of consideration.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Being stuck at the Southgate Mall by a severe thunderstorm, lunch was chosen at this location instead of walking elsewhere. Like many another local restaurant, this is another owned by British ex-patriates. Opted for a Chicago Panini, which contained ham, provolone cheese, grilled onion, pepper and a very mild sauerkraut. This sandwich was so good, it did not required any condiments.
It appeared that many of the customers were recognized by the owners, which always bodes well, as repeat patronage is the engine which keeps businesses such as these in operation. Cannot vouch as of now for breakfast but the menu looked intriguing as well.
Service was very good and the owners made sure the diners lacked for nothing. This merits a breakfast try out as well.
Pricing is about average for Sarasota for lunch or breakfast- $10-12 per person, including drinks.

“Very nice breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

My wife and I with another couple thoroughly enjoyed breakfast here today. Good strong coffee to start off with -- and plenty of it. At our table we had an omelet, a quiche, eggs and grits, and for myself a "full English breakfast". Unlike another review of this restaurant, all our dishes were hot, tasty and quickly done. It is a small restaurant in a strip mall, but easy to find. A good place to stop on the way to the beach, or whatever else while in town.

“An English Restauramt this certainly is not!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012 via mobile

They say they are am English restaurant and offer such things as fish and chips and full English breakfast. I tried the breakfast and it was really bad. Everything was cold although there was only one other table occupied. The bacon was the type you can buy pre cooked in the supermarket, the scrambled eggs were like a broken up rubber ball, the mushrooms like small pieces of dried up newspaper. Sorry but I just can't reccomend it

“Great For Breakfast or Lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

This little restaurant is across from the Westfield Mall in south Sarasota, in a small strip mall. From the outside, it looks fairly plain - but the restaurant itself is outstanding for breakfast or lunch.

The menu has a wide variety of choices for breakfast or lunch, including pancakes, eggs, omelettes, french toast for breakfast, and burgers, salads, sandwiches, soups, and croissants for lunch. The food is tastefully prepared and well presented. The service is outstanding. The owners and the staff all seem to love their jobs and love taking care of their diners. As the name implies, there are also some yummy desserts.

There's a small patio in front for outside dining. The restroom is well appointed and spotless.

I've eaten here twice and will definitely return when I'm back in Sarasota. A very pleasant dining experience overall. Highly recommended.
