The Parkway 8 Cinema screams out for a much-needed makeover, but who really cares when the lights go out and the movie starts?
With that in mind, we made a trip to this movie theater recently and felt like we were taking a trip back to the past. The lobby was reminiscent of those we frequented in the 70's and early 80's; it was if time stood still. After purchasing our $2.50 evening tickets (it's only $2 for the matinee!), we made our way to the refreshment area where you can still afford a soda and popcorn as the tab came to only $4.50!
We made our way into the dimly lit theater and had to search for two seats with cushions that didn't sag and with arms that were still covered with padding.
Once the movie began, we forgot all about our surroundings and immersed ourselves in the movie on the screen-one that we had missed when it was released into the first-run theaters only a few weeks ago.
If ambiance isn't important to you but movies are, head to the Parkway 8.
