We arrived at night with time only to drop our bags and head out to dinner and a show at the Van Wezel. There was no time to look around. Arriving back after midnight, we found no hot water. The ceiling tile above the bathroom sink was wet and had black mold on it. Disgusting. I snapped a picture and brought it to the manager at the front desk. He came to the room to advise us that the hot and cold faucets were reversed. By then it was too late for us to shower as we had to travel to another commitment. He wasn't as concerned about the wet and moldy ceiling tile that had obviously been there a while. He gave us a modest break on the room price for the inconvenience. Not wanting an argument, we accepted it and went on our way. It was clear that he wanted us to use the shower so he wouldn't have to give us a price break once he 'discovered' the switched hot/cold lines. Does anyone think they were switched overnight? Does anyone think the mold ocurred overnight?
