“The good, the bad and the ugly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

The good: location was great and the sheets and towels were clean. TV and AC worked well.

The bad: the room had a musty odor. The shower drained very slowly. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom was not cleaned well.

The ugly: something was scratching in the walls.

Stayed at this hotel last weekend with 2 other families for a quick getaway. While the location is outstanding (10 mins from St Armand's and Lido beach), the hotel is not. The front staff is rude and unwelcoming. We decided not to sample the complimentary continental breakfast which consisted of cold cereal and milk. Rooms were decent but wear can be seen throughout. The outside doors to the room hallways are kept propped open so security is a concern. We kept our room door bolted and with the burglar bar engaged. One of the families in our party found bedbugs in their room. Yikes! I guess you get what you pay for. This is nothing but a cheap hotel that is far from being "value". Stay away!

We stayed here and upon checking in I was skeptical because the exterior of the building is dated and needs some work along with the hallways. Once in the room I was very pleased... once again dated but very clean and spacious. I also LOVED the fact that there was title for flooring. I have stayed in many hotels with gross carpeting. We had 2 adults and 3 children. Our girls had one of the double beds and our son was able to use one of the rollaway beds (an extra $10 per night but well worth it). Front desk staff was very helpful bringing the rollaway bed to our room and providing extra towels upon our request. Only comlaint was the noise coming from the Taco Bell next door but definitely not the hotels fault. I also liked the fact that there was a Publix right across the side street. Worth the stay since we were only sleeping and bathing there. Would stay again!!

Just a quick stop to lay your head. If your wanting higher quality this is not the place. Nice location, but not so good presentation. This is your topical come and go spot. Almost reminds you of a college form.

Hall doors were propped open & hallway was hot & humid. Bed was comfortable with new spreads on both beds. Bathroom cabinets needed painting & back of bathroom door needed to be cleaned. Shower water pressure was good. No coffee pot in the room. Highlight of the night was the giant cockroach that kept running across the wall until we killed it (didn't want it running across us in the night). Water damage noted on the ceiling. Being a Florida resident I understand about cockroaches but was not impressed when the check-out clerk tried to tell me that they couldn't help the cockroach because they had too many palm trees around building??????Continental breakfast was the most pathetic offering I've ever encountered.
Even though it was just off main road(Hwy#41) there was no traffic noise. Satisfaction depends on your standards & what you want from a motel room.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the pool

We found the receptionist to be very unhelpful. Room very basic but clean corridors smelled a bit musty. It's a 5 minute walk to down town where we met really friendly locals. Cannot remember the name of the bar but they had bands on day and night it was next to the car park may have been Norma jeans. Would stay here again but only for the location
