The room was very warm and inviting with bottles of wine on the wall. The service was very attentive. The food was very well prepared with excellent presentation. Would gladly return.

“Best On Siesta”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Gabbiano's was the best restaurant we sampled in four nights on Siesta Key. The starters were much more diverse and imaginative than most Italian restaurants. The main course prices were reasonable for the high quality of the entree's. The wine list was extensive with a wide range of prices. Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant has its own parking which is bonus since parking in the village is at a premium.

“Lovely dinner in the garden!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

I love this place! I ate here with a good friend who was visiting Siesta Key. We loved everything about it! Our servier was terrific; prompt, friendly and helpful. The food was impeccable; I had the tortellini and she had the lobster ravioli and we both were thrilled. The setting, a garden room with intimate lighting and decor, was wonderful. Our server suggested a wine which we both thought was delicious! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I don't have one negative thing to say and will definitely be back!

“Just So-So Now that owners have Changed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Went there for dinner a few weekends ago and this is a very charming place visually, bar area is smallish. Unfortunately, the food just doesn't live up to what it was before they changed ownership. Wine is overpriced. The food was very "blah", not a lot of flavor, the veal piccata had a sauce that can only be described as glutinous. The salad could have been out of a bag. The service was so-so, they were friendly enough. When we asked for our check it took forever, and there weren't all that many people in the restaurant. Hmmmm... Cafe Gabbiano just isn't what it once was! Sad!

“Ready or not... you'll be disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

In the last couple years the food quality and service has become unacceptable. Food is overpriced, poor quality and terribly overpriced along with 2 owners who are so busy and understaffed that they have forgotten how good this restaurant used to be.
