“Fabulous Pizza. Hidden Gem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

If you are in the mood for great PIZZA, you must check out The Italian Grille. Great food, diverse menu, prices, and service. The large pizzas we generous in size. My husband even ate his crust he loved it so much! This is rare! This restaurant is a hidden gem. We will definately go to this restaurant again next time we visit Sarasota!

“Been goin for years”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012 via mobile

I had pesto pasta..it was very good
My husband had pasta fagoli & it was very salty. He had never had soup made with spaghetti? Weird!
We noticed the place needs a damn good cleaning. Dust bunnies everywhere...& it was very dark.
Pricey for pasta, but we enjoy it :)

“Wood Fired Pizza”

Went there for a wood fired pizza. Pleasantly surprised. Very reasonable and even have happy hour at the tables on Saturday 4:00-7:00! Looking forward to trying some entrees!

“Fugetaboudit”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

And forget about it we will. I have had better Italian food straight out of a box or a can.
Service was good...................all downhill from there.
I started with the pasta fagioli........decent, but WAY too salty. My wife had the salad.........like one of those premade salads at the grocery store. Tasteless.
She had the bruschetta............tomatoes were tasteless, and way too much tomatoes and olives on top.
I had the Italian Grill duo.......1/2 eggplant parm and 1/2 chicken parm.......just was not good. Chicken was overcooked.
My wife had the meat ravioli...............what killed all of the dishes was the sauce. I can make a much better sauce in 30 minutes at home. Tastes canned, and quite frankly, ruins the taste.
Just seemed like canned food, and low quality ingredients.
Never again. $52 bucks flushed down the drain.

“Will return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

When we travel we try to eat at non-chain restaurants and we hit the jackpot here. The portions are huge so I would suggest sharing unless you are starving.
