“Enjoyed our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

We arrived very late and very tired. We were greeted by a wonderful young man who was positive and upbeat. He told us about the food that was available for purchase. Since we were exhausted and didn't feel like figuring out local restaurants, we decided to try it. The chicken quesadilla was yummy! The room was super spacious. A sitting area with an L-shaped couch, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, desk. A comfy bed awaited us, a clean shower in the morning, and a very nice breakfast selection. When we went to check out, the clerk must have been new because he tried to charge us again. The manager straightened it out in a blink. It is right across the street from the airport and close to lots of the attractions. Good place; reasonable price. We'd stay again.

This was our second time at this hotel. We stayed here 7 nights. Love the rooms and the location. Breakfast is to die for! I looked forward to it everyday. Rooms were cleaned everyday and looked spotless. Beds are great!
one comment, there are a few front desk receptionists, who seemed to be less thrilled than to be working there. When we first arrived and were waiting to be checked in, one receptionist wouldn't even recognize we were there waiting, no greeting nothing. After about 5 minutes we got, we'll be right with you, while 2 other receptionist stood there doing nothing. The one who greeted us proceeded to give us unfriendly looks, and we got the same looks the entire stay we were there from this individual.
The other receptionists were great and very professional! Always greeted us and asked how we were and made us feel welcome.
However, that one receptionist at first we thought maybe she was having a bad day, but it did not seem that way. She just did not seem happy to be working there and like she had better thing to do. Hopefully the management will have a discussion with her about her attitude and behavior towards the guests.

Otherwise, great location, comfy beds, will stay again!

Easy Check in. We came to visit our Son at NCF and it was also close to all of Bay Shore, restaurants, shopping and Siesta Key was only 20 minutes. Room was spacious with a separate living space and we just had a standard with 2 queens. GREAT BEDS OMG!! Again I am a terrible sleeper and it was very nice, Summer down blankets, big fluffy pillows, triple sheets. It was extremely quiet. Nice that there were real glasses and coffee mugs. Breakfast was really nice, 2 different egg sandwiches, french toast, Loads of fresh fruit, oatmeal, granola, bagels....Good Real OJ and other milk and Juice. Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas. The bar lounge area served espresso, coffee and wine and cocktails. There was also food to order all the time, however not roomservice as you picked it up at the bar. Nice though. The pool was really pretty with towels right outside. Will definately stay there again. And Ricardo is super nice and very friendly as we chatted with him upon our arrival and he made our espresso and wine!!

Room Tip: Stay on the 2 floor very quiet, we were in 209...Third floor I heard can be loud from AC units

Our crew team and parents love to stay here. The staff is always accommodating, guest rooms very clean and roomy. Breakfast is great. Lobby is spacious and inviting. The sunroom off the breakfast nook is great for a quick meeting. Very modern, cosy hotel. Love love love Hyatt Place Sarasota!

The hotel is a one minute shuttle ride from the airport, and while I'd say you could walk the distance, it's pretty hot outside to be dragging luggage. Their courtesy bus will pick you up easily.

Staff was very accommodating, and seemed to be jack of all trades. Paul, who checked us in also cooked our evening meals and his counterpart picked us up from the airport after returning our rental car.

I'd definitely stay here again if in Sarasota! Thanks everyone!

I stayed at both this Hyatt and the Hyatt Regency while in Sarasota and this hotel is definitely the better value. It doesn't have the expansive, fancy lobby, or nice onsite restaurant, but the small lobby is nice and comfortable. This hotel has more of a younger feel to it.

Pros: Price is good for the area and for the quality that you receive. Friendly front desk staff, low key casual atmosphere, pretty pool area, very convenient to the airport, obviously, I did not hear any airport noise while inside the hotel. The air-conditioning unit worked well. My room was kept cool and there was no musty odor as is often the case in humid areas. My room, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was small but clean. Simple contemporary decor.

Cons: room service is available 24 hrs. but you have to go down and pick it up. It's not actually delivered to your room. I noticed a couple of minor maintenance issues: a little spot of peeling wallpaper, a loose moulding in the hallway, and one tile cracked in the bathroom. In spite of that, though, it generally felt well-maintained.
