“Excellent collection”

Very impressed with the collection and the beauty of the museum itself. Definitely a must see if you like art. (And tour the Ringling house too.)

“Very good and enjoyable place to spend some time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

The Ringling art museum is a very good art collection and it is free on Monday. There is also a fantastic miniature circus collection but it is not free on Monday but is worth the fee. There are so e good reasonable places to eat plus a great view of the bay.

“Relaxing, beautiful and cultural”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

As a member of the Ringling Museum, I regularly attend new exhibits at the art museum and also enjoy the peaceful setting of the gardens, mansion, and water views. The visitor center is welcoming and provides lots of help from volunteers, a great gift shop, restaurant with outside seating, and casual snack shop. The Circus Museum is included with admission, and provides fabulous insight into the history of the circus. The miniature circus is a wonder to behold. The mansion is a rare beauty, and the art museum is a peaceful, cool, and quiet refuge on a hot Florida day!

“World Class Art Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

The John and Mable Ringling Museum complex is fabulous. The Rose Garden is beautiful, the Circus Museums are wonderful, the Mansion is awesome, but the crown jewel is their Art Museum. You could spend an entire day viewing everything on site. My grandchildren were speechless as we walked through the art galleries, very awe inspiring.

“History of the Circus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

We stopped into the Wringling Museum on our way to Ocala for Thanksgiving with my parents. What a fantastic place to feel like a kid again! The miniature circus (which took 50 years to build) was magnificent in size....the largest in the world. It was truly amazing to see the artistry and imagination and time put into this enormous replica of the traveling circus. The original wagons were on display with the memorable tunes from that era that we all remember. Since John and Mable Wringling were collectors of Italian art, their art museum featuring famous pieces were on exhibit in this very large beautiful palace. Their home sits on Sarasota bay behind their museums which is also lovely and designed with fine Italian marble. Breathtaking! Definitely worth the 90 minute visit in Sarasota! A lovely Italian restaurant on site, Starbucks and gift shop complete this trip!
