“Ringling Hosts Planet Philanthropy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Only 100 of us at the Planet Philantrhopy Conference were able to attend a private reception at the Ringling Museum and home. We were treated to champagne and music in the courtyard and the gallerys with Ruebens and Rembrants were open for us to view at our leisure. We topped off the evening with sunset on the patio of the Ringling Home. The staff was helpful and gracious and we felt pampered.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Really liked the minature circus and old circus wagons.

The Mansion was large but too ornate for our liking. The panorama water view from the mansion patio is very impressive. You could have one nice party in that area alone.

The Art museum is quite large and he was a big collector of art. To really appreciate this however one must be "into" art. ..plus the type of art in the gallery is alot of early european, religous settings on very large canvass.

“Great place to visit!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Florida is full of rain this trip so we decided to do something educational. This is a great museum. If you have every been lucky enough to go to a circus you will be blown away by the miniature replica. The Ringling mansion is spectacular. Nice place to go and beautiful gardens.

“A must for circus lovers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

We were amazed by this museum of the circus. It has great exhibits and tells an amazing Tory of the history of the circus in the USA. The size of the operation, the organisation of travelling circuses in the 1900's was amazing. The logistics of housing, feeding, 1500 staff let alone animals and big top etc. was truly awesome . A great place to visit for all ages.

“Circus museum great for kids the rest for adults”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

The circus museum was fantastic kids enjoyed all the interactive things, as well as even the detail of the train and sculptures. We grabbed a snack at the banyan cafe and waked the grounds. I'd give it 4 stars except that's pretty much it for the kids. They enjoyed the banyan trees and were pretty pooped by the time we got to the mansion, but that's where the fun for adults really began. Just spectacular home worth seeing once while you're in town. We walked through one art exhibit but then sat outside and admired the beautiful grounds. Lots of naked statues which had all the kids giggling, but I personally loved the architecture and landscape. Get a coupon out of sightseeing magazine. It's pricy !
