The hotel is a dump for a Ramada. Very worn out and dated (80's) surrounding neighborhood is also a dump. Rooms were ok and clean, but hall way stunk. Pool is average hotel pool. The best part is the restaurant/bar..actually very good food!
I would not stay here again. I only stayed for 1-night mainly because of proximity to airport and for the tikki bar.

Room Tip: ask for a new renovated room

We booked this hotel thinking we could save a little bit of money and still be close to beach. We checked in and the room stunk so bad, our "view" was the hallway and a puddle not the waterfront promised! We immediately checked out and went to Sandcastle Resort on the beach!

Room Tip: Save the disappointment and just go to a different hotel! Not up to Ramada standards!

I picked this hotel because the photos online looked very nice and modern. When we arrived and got to our room boy were we surprised. Our room looked nothing like the photos, it was old and in desperate need of a renovation. The lamps were rusty, extensions all over, porcelain peeling from the tub, toilet was very old. The mattress was very old and uncomfortable. I would definitely not stay here again.

We spent a week at the Ramada Sarasota for a getaway and to visit some friends. We found the location very easy to find, and the rooms were clean, updated and comfy. At the front lobby we were greeted right away and staff were very pleasant and helpful.

One day we decided to spend a day by the pool, and within 3 minutes of sitting down, we were served by an awesome waitress. She took care of us the whole day with drinks and food from The Bearded Clam (which had ridiculously amazing FRESH food). The Bearded Clam & Tiki Hut is attached to the Ramada Sarasota, and we found that to be very convenient.

The rooms were fully equipped with brand new appliances (Fridge, Microwave, Coffee Maker & Hair Dryer). An added bonus was free breakfast in the morning. Our bed was very comfortable, seemed to be brand new with a pillow top mattress and plush pillows. The bathroom was updated with stone countertops throughout.

This hotel is a fantastic deal and reasonably priced, easy access location with fantastic views. The sunset view at the marina, from our window, was beautiful. This hotel offers great value and only a short drive to Siesta Key Beach, close to shopping, outlet mall and lots of restaurants.

We can’t wait to come back!

It's pretty ordinary and the rooms on the highway side are very noisy, but here's what it has going for it: 1). It's convenient to the Sarasota airport. 2). It's inexpensive compared to the other airport hotels. 3). The showers in the refurbished rooms are amazing: two independently adjustable shower heads. Not all rooms have these showers yet, so be sure to ask.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a room on the bay side (i.e., away from the traffic).

Dear Lione,

Thank you for writing this review. I am glad you enjoyed your accommodation and I too agree the Executive Room upgrade and the waterfront upgrade are a wonderful idea.

Thank you for your kind words and we look forward to seeing you again in the coming future.

Sincerely,

Navid Kichi
