“We threw it away”

We went to Taco Bar with high hopes. We ordered chips and guacamole, fish tacos and shrimp tacos. We ordered our toddlers chicken tacos. Also got a beer and margarita. It was $48 and inedible.

The shrimp were beyond overcooked, tough and rubbery. Our children's chicken taco was shredded dry meat that would choke and adult. I really can't describe how bad this food was.

We threw it away and left. Most of the people around us were complaining about their food as well.

Avoid at all costs!

Wow, I am surprised to see all these negative reviews. My husband and I were shopping at the shops in Seaside and wanted to grab some lunch. We decided on Bud and Alley's and had a very nice time. Views were great from the rooftop bar area, I took a ton of pictures. The prices weren't bad for lunch...I had a chicken salad croissant which was really good and my husband had the gumbo which he liked, then a couple of drinks and the bill was like 30 bucks. We didn't go here expecting a first class dining experience but were very pleased with the quick service, the views, the great food, and the prices and I definitely will be going back. The menu was mostly sandwiches and salads for lunch. Didn't see a dinner menu.

“A waste of money”

Bud and Alley's

Don't waste your time or your money. The menu was non-impressive. The price of the dinner definitely did not reflect the quality of the dinner. $136.00 for two adults and one child (who shared our dinners) was a waste. Try "The Fish House " which is approximately two to three miles East of Bud and Alleys. The dinners are still pricey but the food and the atmosphere is definitely better.

“Not Impressed”

Bud and Alley's

Overpriced for what you get. Food average at best. Would be more ideal for late afternoon drinks and not meals. We expected a lot more, especially with a $236.00 price tag for four people to dine on. Price above includes 1 drink a piece and tip.

“Disappointing and overpriced”

When my wife and I were going to be in the Seaside area, we asked around and were told that Bud and Alley's had won culinary awards. We therefore looked forward to our dinner and didn't mind that the prices were quite high.

When the food arrived, however, our expectations quickly turned to utter disappointment. Although we both enjoy spicy food, my wife's scallops were so overseasoned and salty that they were truly inedible. The waiter brought her a crab cake instead, but it wasn't even as good as the crabcake we had for lunch a few days earlier at Ruby Tuesday's (for a whole lot less money). My grouper was equally disappointing: not terrible but quite bland and tasteless.

Do yourself a favor: forget the hype. Bud and Alley's is simply overrated and wouldn't be worth the cost if the price were cut in half.
