“A Major Rip-off- Avoid this tourist trap”

By far this has been the most disappointing meal we've had while on Spring Break in Seaside. First, the server we had was so uninterested in what she was there to do it almost seemed to be a bother to wait on us. From there we ordered the shrimp tempura/ calamri appetizer for $10. I think I counted 4 fried shrimp(& 3 shrimp heads included) and maybe 4oz of calamari- a definite rip-off.
For dinner we ordered the Cobia dinner, the shrimp pasta dish, and the free-range chicken. All dinners were seasoned WAY too much. My Cobia dish has so much white pepper in it that I couldn't taste it or the veggies it came with- a miniscule portion for $30+ as well. My wife's shrimp pasta dish was coated with so much salt that she couldn't drink enough water to quench her thirst. Finally, my son's chicken way overcooked. The best part of our meal was the warm bread that was brought at the beginning of the meal and my son's corn and mushroom risotto. Add 1 glass of house wine and our bill was $125+. Maybe a bad night for the chef but I would not come back here again. Kinda surprised as this place was highly recommended by a lot of sources coming in.

We found ourselves at Bud and Alleys twice on our week long spring Break trip for lunch. Both my boys wolfed down very delicious Kobe-beef burgers. The fresh fish (Mahi-mahi)sandwich was a hit with the hubby. If the Gumbo happens to be the soup of the day - order it -loaded with fish and a subtle, but spicy kick. The fresh Tuna Nicoise salad was excellent as well. Make sure to go upstairs, the views of the gulf and Seaside are awesome. We'll be dining here for years to come! Just a hint - sometimes it's best to dine at higher priced restaurants for lunch, you beat the crowds, better attentive food prep and less than half the price of your normal tab.

Went to Bud and Alleys after reading so many glowing reviews. The food was truely awful. Much was inedible and entrees alone were $30+. I love the area but the are MUCH better places to eat with far better atmosphere.

This place is overrated. It is expensive and the service is terrible. The food is mediocre. The outside bar is dirty and in need for some remodeling.

“Bud and Alley's just O.K.”

I expected more from Bud and Alleys. The write-ups in magazines are always great, but while the presentation was beautiful, the food was average. All of our food was undercooked, the vegetables almost raw. I found both of our meals there very bland, with the exception of the asparagus salad (yummy!) The kids' grilled chicken was dry and flavorless. They did make a great mojito. The ambience is nice and has a very clean, resort feel.
