Description: Chanticleer Eatery is off the beaten path, but well worth the few extra minutes to find! We really put our heart into all that we do at Chanticleer. We make all that we can from scratch and that doesn't mean heat and serve! We bake all of our bread, slow smoke our pulled pork, hand-cut our juicy steaks, make our soups with lots of love and of course make our to die for cookies from scratch! We are really passionate about awesome eats, and get so disappointed when we eat food that isn't thoughtful. We hope you can taste the difference at Chanticleer and look forward to serving you, "food worth crowing about"!

“What a great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

A little off the beaten path but wonderful food. Had 1/2 of a summer salad --- huge and delicious --- and 1/2 Chanticleer Grilled Cheese --- also huge and delicious! Take time to find it. It's a treasure!

“Yummy baked goods”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Love the pastry and the tomato tart! We first bought them at the Seaside Farmer's Market and then visited the actual store in Grayton. So good!!!

“Hidden Jewel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Stumbled across this amazing place at the back of a cute shopping area - locally sourced ingredients, heavenly baked breads (try the Rosemary Sage), delectable salads, soups, sandwiches, pulled pork and much more! And then - desserts - the key lime cupcakes are beautiful and taste as good as they look. Employees and owners are uniformly pleasant and eager to please. Don't miss! We will be back whenever we are in this area! For those of you visiting or living nearby - they cater!!

“Great lunch!”

Fresh food, big portions & good prices. Everyone working there was friendly & attentive. The white chocolate coconut cookie is to die for.

“One word: Pie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We didn't eat in the restaurant, which looks very nice. I phoned in an order for a pecan pie (which was delicious) and, having seen the beautiful photo on the website, an heirloom tomato pie which included a variety of sliced tomatoes with several cheeses and a delicious cornmeal-type crust. The pie is refrigerated and you are given instructions to re-heat in your own oven. It makes an excellent dinner with a salad that you can enjoy at home -- and an easy meal for the traveler staying in a beach rental (as we were). I am still dreaming about that tomato pie and wish I had another. Next year when we return to the area for vacation, I will buy several of them! Service was very friendly. We were very excited to find this place.
