We arrived on a monday to a clean and comfortable condominium. The location was an easy walk to the beach (we were a little concerned about the distance before we arrived.) The path was sand covered and lovely. The white sand beach is beautiful! There was a variety of beach toys to entertain our 8 and 14 year olds, including noodles and a raft. Umbrellas and chairs and the wagons were great. In the evening we all enjoyed to hot tub. We cooked almost everynight so we were pleased with the fully stocked kitchen. We biked to the light house one morning. It was nice to have everything readily available. The king size bed was splendid! Would definately return.

With its residential location, our group of four adult women found Beach Road Villas a very relaxing place to stay. With only four units, there isn't a lot of coming and going and the other people staying there were laid back and quiet.

We stayed in the Sandpiper unit. It was very nice, clean and well-maintained. The master bedroom is huge while the second bedroom is fairly small. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed spending most of our time on the screened porch on the ground level.

The layout of the unit is nice, but there is a fairly long staircase to the second floor and both bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs were a little daunting to the oldest member of our group.

We really enjoyed Beach Road Villas and would definitely stay there again.

Beach Road Villas is well situated at the causeway end of Sanibel so you can lose your car and get on your bike as soon as you arrive and avoid all the traffic on Periwinkle Way ! The villas are built around a lovely courtyard garden complete with fountains and geckos ( much to my 2 yr old son's delight) The villas are spacious if a little dated in decor ( turquoise bathroom suite) but very good value for what you get. The kitchen is very well kited out with decent knifes and proper wine glasses. We even managed to do all our laundry before we went home as there was detergent left for us.

What we loved - the bikes, the wagons to get down to the beach, ( liturally 5 mins away) the fountain in the garden that my kids loved to fall asleep to, the seclusion. Only negative is that all of the above are well worn and loved and could probably do with some replacement ( beach umbrellas etc were pretty much done for) but atleast they were there at all.

And with manatees for company as you eat breakfast what more could you ask for? Fantastic !

We had never been to Sanibel before and we loved, loved. loved it. Beach Road Villas were immaculate. Great floor plan, nicely furnished, the beds were great. Well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed was there. Fred was wonderful and welcoming. Having the bikes and beach gear was great. The location was great for getting around the island (and avoiding traffic). We took to boat to Cabbage Key, enjoyed Ding Darling and biked all around the island. My husband needed a three wheel bike which was delivered to Beach Road by Billy's bikes. The location on the canal was quiet and peaceful. Manatee gave birth right in front of the condo while we were there. Highly recommended. We will be back.
