My husband and I ate lunch here just a few days ago, when on Sanibel. It was just mediocre at best, in our opinion. The menu was quite small. The food was presented in a nice fashion, but didn't taste very impressive.

We ate here after seeing the reviews online. Had the poached lobster tails with risoto, and the filet wellington with lobster and garlic potatoes. Each was fantastic, with a myriad of tastes blended to perfection. There were so many items on the menu we wanted to try, but we were there on the last evening of our vacation. We will definitely be back.

First experience there! Great location in between sanibel and captiva. Awesome food, steak and seafood was great! The prices were a little high, but you cant put a price on great food. Brenda was a great waitress

This small restaurant in the Santiva area of Sanibel adjacent to the Castaways cottages doesn't look like much from the outside, just a simple old wooden building, but it's a great choice for dinner. The dinning room is small and a few additional seats were available at the little bar area. It has a pleasant open kitchen and there are some tables outside on the porch with a great view of the sunset across the street. It tends to look empty even when fairly full.

In early October the place was quiet and had only a few customers, but by the end of the month seasonal residents were back and dinner reservations were a must. It is also open for breakfast and lunch, but I didn't try either.

I had fish on both visits and the swordfish was the best I had anywhere. I also tried the Sunset Rockefeller, scallops with a Rockefeller style spinach filling. Sweet with just a hint of nutmeg. The swordfish was moist and very tender - not dry and over cooked as it so often is. The risotto was creamy with the classic mild flavor. The wine choice by the very friendly waiter was really good. I had grouper the second time there and thought the seasoning rather salty, the only disappointment. The dessert menu didn't seem to be as interesting as the rest of the menu.

Food service was prompt without being hurried and friendly without being annoying or intrusive. Highly recommended.

Two course dinner with wine, tax and tip will run around $60-75 per person.
