We went to Timbers on December 2 and had a pretty good meal, but nothing fabulous and I would probably try something different in the future. We started with the calamari salad which neither my husband nor I liked (weird Asian sauce that didn't go well) so our server offered us something else and didn't charge us for the appetizer which I thought was extremely generous. So, we tried the Stone Crab appetizer which was good. I got the shrimp platter (3 different types of shrimp) and my husband got the filet and I thought the shrimp was really good and the filet was just okay. The service was excellent and very accomodating - for example, I asked for coconut shrimp instead of shrimp scampi and she said no problem and the coconut shrimp was my favorite. So, I would recommend going for the fish again, but definitely NOT for the steak.

Just ate at the Timbers on Nov 30th, and were very disappointed. Have eaten here before and never had any issues. This time, with 6 people, half of us had to send our meals back because the food was cold. This included the lobster, two potatoes, a steak and the salmon. The table next to us had similar issues, as they had to send two meals back for being cold. Not sure of the problem, but will not be in a rush to return.

We have just returned from Sanibel where we eat at Timbers 4 nights out of 14 and once in the Sanibel Grill which is attached. On every occasion the food was excellent. We had a good selection of the food from Oysters and Stone Crab starters to Chilean Sea Bass , Steak and Grouper. There is a very wide choice and everything we had was superb. Compared to other restaurants on the Island we felt if was very good value for money - although coming from the UK most food in the US is good value for us! It was also nice to be able to go next door to the Sanibel Grill for a few glasses of wine after the meal.

We visited there after seeing the reviews on TripAdvisor. My wife had a steak, cooked perfectly. There was nothing vegetarian on the menu so I asked the waiter what can he bring. He said they would be happy to make either a pasta with veggies or a plate of steamed veggies with rice. They also included a salad with my meal and bread for the table. Very good prices in comparison to other restaurants on the island.
Liked it so much went back for a second time 3 nights later.
