We visited Doc Fords on a weekday evening and had a wonderful experience.

We were seated promptly and our waitress took care of us well. She (waitress) could have possibly been a little more friendly.....but the fact is she did her job very well.

There is a bit of a noise level in the restaurant that takes you a few minutes to get accustomed to at first, but after that you're fine.

The food was fantastic. I had a clubhouse sandwich (can't recall their actual name for it) and it was without a doubt the best I have ever had. The thing was huge and piled high with all the good stuff along with a car load of fries. The others in my party also spoke highly of their meals.

Give it a try....great food at decent prices.

We had dinner one night while vacationing in Sanibel. Great place, I had fish tacs, very good, can't recall what hubby ordered but all was very good and so was the service. Definately check this place out while in Sanibel. Yummy drinks too.

We ate both lunch and a dinner at Doc Ford's on Memorial Day weekend, and enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is your typical sports bar, nothing extra, but the food was consistently exceptional at both meals.

We had high expectations of Doc Ford's after reading the reviews on tripadvisor but were disappointed. We went to Doc Ford's for a late (2pm) lunch. The lunch started badly when my drink, a pineapple mojito, arrived. All of the mint was black and mushy. Since we were just starting our vacation, I didn't want to take a chance of getting sick so I requested a different drink. The waiter was pleasant about it and brought me a new drink. For lunch we ordered 3 appetizers. The ceviche was pretty good -- it had a little bit of a zing which was tasty. The carribean jerk chicken nachos were also tasty but so soggy that the chips fell apart and we had to use forks to eat. Mushy chips are gross. The final appetizer was the buffalo chicken fingers. I thought they were greasy but my boyfriend liked them. He requested hot sauce on the side and the waiter brought him a custom-made sauce that had jalepeno seeds in. He thought it was nice and hot but still tasty.

Overall, it was ok, but had several problems. Maybe when they are busier the food is better or maybe the entres are better. We would opt to try new places instead of going back to Doc Ford's.
