I mistakenly thought that this restaurant would have a full-fledged barbecue menu. Instead, the fare is extremely limited, though relatively inexpensive.

Now, about the Dead Parrot Wings...they're touted as hot and spicy, and I was given ample warning before I ordered them. But, they are truly inedible. I finished three wings before I thought I might get sick. I asked the waitress if anyone had ever finished a basket. Only a few, she said, including a pregnant woman who stripped every wing to the bone.

OOPS!! The previous review was meant for the OTHER Lazy Flamingo, on Captiva!!! We also dined here and this is by far better.
The kids loved it, yes it was noisy, but the service was good and it was a good place to watch the game. The grouper and fries were good, Did not try the crabcakes or chowder here. Overall a good place to go for a meal with the kids, they enjoyed the frisbees and crayons that come with the meal.

We have been to the Lazy on many occasions, and always loved their food, service and reasonable prices. But the last few times we've seen the food quality deminish. My favorite menu items were the grouper and their good onion straws. The grouper was really terrible and they didn't have onion straws anymore. They had something like onion petals that were very slimy. Yuck! We had taken guests with us and the whole experience was embarrassing, to say the least. As someone else mentioned, even with lots of food left on our plates, we weren't asked if there was a problem with it. Very disappointing after considering this a favorite place for years.

I would put this somewhere between Hooters and the neighborhood hole-in-the-wall seafood place everyone is hoping to find. The servers all work as a team, so the service is awesome. All round, managers, bartenders, waitresses, all working together… the tips are pooled.

I had conch salad (large bowl 5.95), and fried oysters with fries and slaw (huge portion and perfectly fried 14.95) with a glass of sangria (4.95… a bit much I thought) . All were outstanding. Presentation was bar style, but the food was awesome. I made the mistake of trying to go to the original location WAAAAY the heck out almost to Captiva first. It is tiny and the service was non-attentive… so non-attentive in fact that I left and went BACK to the LF2. I will tell more of my LF1 experience in a LF1 review.
I highly recommend the LF2. It is noisy but fun and the service was exemplary.

A fun family friendly place.
