A little pricey on the meals, but I felt like I was paying for the entertainment, too. Food was very good. Threesome was playing and some guy named Paul Venturo casually strolled in and sang a few songs with the band. Enjoyable....but not for kids.

We've gone to Ellington's for four years straight, but won't go back due to declining quality in food and service. On our most recent visit (12/7/07), we requested a table in the back upon arrival to a nearly empty restaurant. The host declined, claiming that the tables away from the stage were reserved. We were forced to sit up front, eliminating any chance for a normal conversation. We noticed as the evening went on that the tables in the back were still empty, so in the end the host had neglected our request and lied to us to fill tables as he pleased.
Alhough the house band is very good, the food and service were mediocre at best. We will not be back due to a lack of customer service and common consideration. Not recommended.
It never occurred to me that on our sleepy Sanibel trip we would have such excellent jazz, great food, ambiance and service in the same location. It is truly a welcomed surprise.
Loved it! The place was very quaint taking me back to 40’s… The music was amazing food was great and service was unbeatable. We arrived early and were promptly seated, we were greeted by one server to take our drink order and to advice us that our server would be with us shortly.
My friend ordered the Sea Bass and according to him was very good. I order filet mignon and it was incredible. The sides order was a little weak and lacked on flavors, but still very good.
The ambience is the key at Ellington’s. The music played by David Sinoff quartet was incredible, perfect for a romantic dinner.
If you visit Sanibel Island, is a must to visit Ellington’s for dinner, just make sure you are not in a hurry because is a place to enjoy!
An experience for all the senses. The ambiance, food, service and music add to a most relaxing evennig that you will not believe how fast time just flies! Savor it.
