Every time we visit Sanibel we go to Gramma Dot's for the barbeque shrimp. It is fun and casual and the prices are reasonable.

We were surprised by how good this was. We tried most of the restaurants on Sanibel and 2 on Captiva. Gramma Dots is at the marina and is very casual, but the coconut shrimp and chips and chowder were just yummy. We liked it so much we went back for lunch before we left.

After a recent stop at Gramma Dots this weekend I vowed to never spend another dime there. I live on the island and have been a regular for years, their service is mixed, sometimes good, but on this last trip the waitress was embrassing to my guests, a client and his wife. She asked us to move from our table to the bar so people could use the table to eat...... the rest was about 1/2 full and there was no need to move...... I paid and left, You'll never get another dime, you don't deserve it... W Cannon

Order anything but make sure it comes with the homemade potato chips and a little cup of blue cheese dip. Oh my. I'm drooling now thinking about it. Great place for lunch, burgers, grouper salads and sandwiches. Super super clean place in a beautiful marina. The only thing we've ever had there that was just so-so was the crabcake sandwich. To much cake and not enough crab. But it came with chips, so who cares!
