My wife and I had to celebrate a late anniversary and stumbled across this restaurant as we went into Sanibel. Don't listen to guys at the visitor's center if they don't recommend Gramma Dot's!
As we arrived, the restaurant was set next to the pier. We went inside and got a table that overlooked the bridge that goes into Sanibel (best spot to eat with view!) Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Went for lunch to save a few bucks and ordered all the blue ribbon items on the menu. My wife and i split the curried lobster salad (they use real lobster meat) and it came with an assortment of sweet, fresh fruit to include strawberries, oranges, and grapes. Nice presentation with a fresh orchid flower as well. Then we split their sampler simultaneously which had delicious coconut shrimp, fried oysters (so succulent), and crabcakes with an assortment of sauces. Our waitress was so nice, when I asked her to take a picture of us, she followed us out of the restaurant and took three photos of us! Probably some of our best food and pictures of our trip!!!! Your lost if you don't eat at this place!!!!!!
