We had a wonderful dinner there last Thursday night; starting with the oyster crackers, it was THE best meal we had on our entire trip to Marco Island/Sanibel.

My husband, who does NOT eat clam chowder EVER, had a bowl of chowder as soon as he tasted mine! I had the fried shrimp and it was fabulous as were the vegetables and the potato.

He had the platter and just moaned through the whole meal! Just so good!

The Key Lime pie was out of this world.

It will definitely be on our way to AND from Marco next trip!!!

While vacationing in Sanibel I dined at Gramma Dot's twice. The lobster curried salad was great and their signature dessert of Key Lime Pie was wonderful!.

We are avid boaters and one of the things we love to do is stop at waterfront restaurants for lunch or dinner. Last night we went for a sunset cruise and after a glorious sunset, we stopped in to Gramma Dots for dinner. This place is "off the charts" Our server's name was Amy and she was so helpful and suggestive and made our dinner superb. Captain Mike and I had the surf and turf, Kristina had the almond and citrus encrusted grouper, and Captain Mark had the stone crab claw special. Everything was prepared to perfection and to to top off the night Amy insisted that we all share a piece of their famous and award winning Key Lime Pie and I must say that Kenny Chesney must have written his song Key Lime Pie after visiting Gramma Dots. This place is a "must do" on your trip to Sanibel Island. The girls there will be happy to see you, just tell them that Captain Mark and First Mate Terresa sent you.

We took a trip to Sanibel this past summer and ended up at Grandma Dots after a recommendation from a friend. The servers (and cooks) were very friendly. The food was awesome. We started with the coconut shrimp and it was a huge hit at our table. I loved it and would highly recommend it (and I'm not even a fan of shrimp!) It had a casual atmosphere, where I'm a huge fan of. One of the chefs (jay) even came out to our table to make sure our meal was what we wanted/expected, since we had such a hard time ordering. Good stuff.
