“Great Shells”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Although there is not much parking... I found a lot of great shells and a nice piece of coral! I found it to be better then Bowman's Beach.. if you are going shelling... bring water shoes.

“NOT ENOUGH PARKING”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

There is not enough parking but that does control the crowds. I was disappointed at how very very crowded all Sanibel beaches are. Visited in January.

“Great beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Everyday is a surprise if you are a "treasure hunter". The shells were just so plentiful. Water temp. was fine, and we did some swimming, lots of wading. This beach is just so nice. Very few people, and lots of space. I loved seeing the dogs walking by each day and playing on the beach. Very clean beach with nice sand. Cannot wait to return.

“Blind Pass Never Disappoints!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Blind Pass truly has the BEST shells! We checked out several beaches on Sanibel, but the ultimate was Blind Pass. Scallops, cat's paws, jingles and periwinkles were all we could find on other beaches, but as soon as low tide hits on Blind Pass - we found olive shells, fighting conches, whelks, cone shells, etc. Still not as good as in warmer weather...but truly tons more than anywhere else I have ever been. So glad that Sanibel has worked so hard to preserve the Blind Pass waterway and protect the sea-life that thrives there and the massive quantities of shells that get washed up there. Only thing we did not get to see were tidal pools...where sea-life sometimes gets washed in and cannot get out - great place to find things like sea cucumbers and horseshoe crabs, but no luck with those this time. Oh well, I was still happy with our finds!

“Great shelling - not a lot of parking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

We went here at midnight to shell. It wasn't crowded luckily because there are only about 10 parking spots. You have to pay $2/ hour wherever you park on the island - day or night.
