“Friendly, welcoming and beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012 via mobile

We played a quick twilight round on our annual holiday. Although the golf was indifferent as usual the staff in the pro shop made us feel very much at home. The course is short but tricky with lots of alluring water. Ospreys abound. We didn't see the big gator this time but have on numerous occasions prior. Thanks Beachview!

“convenient but needs work”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

if you are staying on Sanibel this course is very conveniently located. However if you are an avid golfer this is not a great course to play. They do not provide pin placements, nor even colour the flags so you have no idea where the flag position is on the green- never seen a course not do that! further there are no rakes in the sand traps, they are on some of the carts they rent you but not all of them - hence you will find many footprints in the traps! Also, they do not marshal on the course so if you get behind some slow players you are going to be there for a very long time. Also the greens are extremely slow.
So if they just invested a little money ie put colored flags on the greens, put rakes in the traps, cut the greens and roll them more frequently, and marshall the course - then it would be good. But they add to these insults by charging you far more than the quality of the course should be. Better off to drive just off the island and play at shell point

“Pretty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2012

Pretty course and a good deal. Only paid $29 each. Lots of water for a beginner like me but I only lost 3 balls. Greens were tricky, very slow. They probably could have used some work. Rental clubs were pretty nice. Only saw one small gator in one pond. A bird stole an unopened granola bar from my cart!
