We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, which was just enough. The hotel and the location are very nice. The grounds are beautiful! We enjoyed all of the flowers, ponds, and of course, the beach. The pool is small, but is very nice and warm. The bar is expensive ($18 for two drinks!), so we really didn't go there at all.

The beach at Sanibel was a blast! Shelling was excellent, and the water was clean (except for some sea grass) and warm. The hotel has free beach chairs for guests to use, which was very much appreciated. The beach was never crowded, either, which was great. The beach itself was impeccable, perfectly clean with unbelievably soft sand.

Unfortunately, our room was quite a disappointment. It was very small, and had a tiny table with two chairs. That was all for extra seating. For our family of 4, it was definitely too small for any more than a few nights. Also, we had to have two cots in our room, and the hotel charges $15 per cot per night, which added $90 to our three-night stay.

The employees at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Lisa (I think that was her name) was especially nice. She even warned us about mosquitoes when we checked in! We didn't think they were that bad, we had a few in our room the first night (along with a little lizard), but that's about it.

If you have a family of 3 or more, and are staying in Sanibel for more than a few nights, I would recommend that you find a different place to stay. However, if you are looking for a nice place to stay for a shorter time, or if you have a smaller party, then this hotel will be perfect. Just make sure to get a room in the building that is closest to the beach and pool!

This is a very attractive facility with great landscaping and pleasant surroundings, convenient to all Sanibel has to offer. The beach is terrific, with lounge furniture provided for guests. The affiliated restaurant, Courtney's is better than average, with good deals for early bird diners, quality drinks and no need to drive anywhere. The Inn is close to other fine dining and shopping. Our room had a fridge, microwave, internet, lots of towels for beach and pool and was very quiet.

If you are looking for reasonably priced accomodations on Sanibel, this is the place.

We stayed at this resort as part of a family group/reunion. If my husband & I had been on our own, it would not have been my choice... As I had a bad start with the "manager" in making a specific type room request.

I will say that the location and beach were wonderful and the pool area seemed clean. Our room was OK. There were 4 pillows on each bed , which was nice. Although the room did not seem to be well maintained. Our room was on the first floor and it was missing the strip at the bottom of the door, so there was a gap of an inch or so... we shoved towels in at night to try to keep out bugs.

Be sure to bring bugspray ! The hotel gives you a sheet explaining about the no-see-um's and I am still covered in their bites !

I read these reviews for the past six months. After doing so, I felt I knew what to
expect with this motel. It is an older motel like another poster said with outdoor entrances. My first impression was that it didn't really feel or look that clean to me. Not real dirty, but like things on the surface had just been wiped off. Most people would think that was acceptable. After calling the first desk to find out when the internet cable was, I located behind the night stand. When you look behind there the dust is every thick behind the beds. The full length mirror attached to the door to the bathroom had not been cleaned and stuff was splattered on it. The floor in the area by the sink looked like it had something stuck on it in places. The worst thing was the small bugs here and there in the room. I have found at least five crawling in and out? of my laptop computer. This is a brand new computer so I'm hoping they don't cause any damage. When I went to use the iron small black pieces got on my white pants. The iron was broken at the top and missing part of it. Basically had a hole in the top of it. I asked for it to be replaced along with a light bulb that was burnt out. I am still waiting. I have stayed in many beacIn hotels/motels in the the state of Florida and I know Florida has lots of bug issues, but I personally have never had this issue at a place I've stayed. On a positive note, the beach is nice and we enjoyed the time we had there.

This hotel is laid out like a typical motel court, but the management have livened it up with island colors and island decor, it looks very inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and loved that it was right on the beach! The pool is very nice as well. Only a few rooms would have ocean views.

Be aware that Sanibel - the city - does not spray for mosquitos or no-seeums so you need to bring spray to protect yourself.
