“A break from the parks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

We booked a two day stay whilst staying in Orlando, the atmosphere on the island and certainly within the Inn was exceptionally relaxing but professional. It had an almost Carribeanesq feel to it without the fear of turning a corner into a 'no - go' area, we would definitely consider a longer stay in the future, the only negative would have to be the increased cost over he mainland be this is definitely worth paying.

Excellent stay! Wonderful, polite staff! Super room! Loved having the beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes and kayaks at our disposal! Loved it ! Nickson took excellent care of us everyday! It didn't matter what he was doing, he got you what you needed! Marva was excellent with our rooms as well!

We absolutely loved this hotel and we will be back. We had a screened in deck that overlooked the pool but you could also see the ocean from our window. The beds were very comfy, and the room was very clean. Also, it was quiet. We enjoyed taking the short walk to the beach every day, looking for seashells and playing in the ocean. Also, the hotel provided floats, a kayak, and bicycles, which is really nice. If you want a great vacation place, this is it!!

Room Tip: We had a room with a gulf view - it was very nice.

You will never go wrong in staying at the Sanibel Inn! We have been coming here for 15 years and the staff alone makes you feel it was worthwhile - from checking in, to the restaurant, to the pool area, to the bar, to the beach, even housekeeping - everyone employed at the Inn are awesome! You will never regret spending any type of vacation celebration here, my salute to the staff, if it wasn't for them, it wouldn't have been as nice! I love the Sanibel Inn!

We recently stayed here for 3 days and would definitely return. All the staff was exceptional. Our room was very clean and they very quickly fixed an issue we had with the air conditioner. The food at the pool bar was outstanding and comes from the restaurant. We never had a problem getting bikes when we wanted and someone always brought an umbrella and chairs to the beach for us when asked.

Room Tip: 2nd story rooms have the best view. We were glad we paid extra for an oceanfront room.

My husband and I stayed here on mini honeymoon. We wanted somewhere that wasn't far to fly and wasn't too touristy. It was very easy to get to from the Ft. Myers airport, and upon arriving (early) they didn't mind checking to see if our room was ready early. Our suite was very nice. I chose a gulf side view suite, but honestly, you couldn't see anything past the pool from our room. Maybe from the second floor they could, but we couldn't on the first floor.
The bedding and linens were very clean (always important) and even though we kept our bath towels hung up so they wouldn't give us new ones each day, they still did. We didn't eat at the restaurant so I can't say anything about that, but we did utilize the kitchenette we had. Dish soap was provided, but not anything to wash the dishes with. We had silverware, but all of the spoons were GIANT. Not a big deal though.
Great location and the front desk was very helpful. There was so much shopping and great restaurants in town! It was so hard deciding where to eat. The beaches weren't crowded and an employee (1 very hardworking man) would bring down the beach chairs and umbrellas to the beach for each guest who wanted one. It was 90 degrees at 9 in the morning and he was so nice putting everyone's chairs on the beach. The inn also had bikes which was nice, even though I think the wheel was going to fall off mine ... I survived.
I really hope to go back again. The tiki bar located next to the pool is able to get food from the restaurant which is a nice option. And the bar tender made my husband a very good Bloody Mary.

Room Tip: If they are all similar to my room, I don't think any of them would be bad to stay in.
