My wife and I had lunch at Cip's mid-afternoon on a Saturday in March. It was not terribly busy but there were several other diners there at the time. The wait staff was excellent (friendly and efficient), as was the food, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and clean. I had a Cobb Salad and I have to say it was one of the best I have had anyplace. The bacon was plentiful and crisp and all ingredients were fresh and well presented. My wife was equally pleased with her fish tacos. We were only on the island for a few hours and this is the only place that we stopped at so I cannot compare it to anyplace else. We did look at the Mucky Duck and the Green Light and a couple of other places on Captiva and they seemed much more crowded and less appealing overall but, again, we did not eat there so I cannot say what they were like otherwise. One final note as to Cip's- while I think it was well worth the prices charged, it was a little more expensive than some other places in SW FL that we tried for lunch. For instance, the Cobb Salad was around $12, whereas in other places you might pay a few dollars less (or more, if you go the the Ritz, et al). Bottom line is that the food was definitely worth it and I would go back in a heart beat (assuming it keeps beating with all the bacon that I consume!).
