We stayed at Song of the Sea for our first wedding anniversary. It is a wonderful place for couples. The staff is very friendly and it is nice meeting new people over the morning breakfast that the hotel provides. We had a room overlooking the pool but we could see the Gulf just over the horizon. The beach is only a couple of hundred yards from the motel. They also provide free bikes to ride around the island. Frankly, that's the way to see Sanibel. Slow down, get on island time and just ride around on your bike.
We would go back in a minute. Don't forget to take a bag for your sea shells. There are billions!

we just returned from our visit to sanibel...we loved the quaint, friendly atmosphere at song of the sea...we stayed at a pricier place 4 years ago, but wanted something less expensive, and oceanfront...we were thrilled with our accomodations...we loved breakfast outside on the patio next to the pond...our two kids were able to use bikes, free of charge, to ride around to different souvenir shops...the people working in the office were very friendly and approachable...

The hotel was very nice. The rooms were nicer then the usual hotel rooms. The beach was great. My family & I stayed for three days and we wish we could go back again. The free buffet breakfast was quite nice and the fresh waffles were a plus. If you are looking for relaxation, fun & sun on your vacation, then Sanibel is the place to be

We had a poolside view room, gulf beach is just steps away, property is very well maintained. Room was cleaned everyday w/fresh towels. Property is very quiet, comfortable, perfect for a couples getaway. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Daily breakfast was good, bagels, waffels, fruit, etc..Free bike rentals were a plus as much of the island has bike trails. Would definetely recommend & can't wait to go back!! Not recommended for families with young children!!
