We chose an end room on the backside, overlooking the parking lot (quiet!), away from the pool. We were staying for 3 nights and it turned out to be just fine. We live in the same state but were here for an event, so it was worth the price and savings of time from driving back home each night. The breakfast in the morning was very good, in terms of an extended continental breakfast. Hard boiled eggs, toast/bagels, cereal, yogurts, waffles, fruit, oatmeal, grits, coffee, juice. More than enough to fill up on and get you way beyond lunch.
The pool was nice and the courtyard area kinda pretty. We just chose not to have our room around the pool as we didn't want to hear talking and all that, but some people don't mind that. There was an area where the rooms are around a fountain, I'm sure that would be kind of nice too.
The room had two queen beds and was comfortable, fairly large and clean. Good value too as we booked thru Priceline and saved a bunch of money! Overall not a bad place to stay and certainly worth the money. It was a convenient drive to and from our event as well. We will probably try to stay again in the future when we need to be in St. Pete for a weekend.
