We booked a two-night stay at this motel because it was convenient to where we were visiting in St. Petersburg, was in a good location, and we have had good experiences at La Quinta Inns. We brought our medium-sized dog with us. Overall, this motel met our needs, but was not up to the regular La Quinta standards.
Our room had a musty odor when we came in, though it was not an inconvenience overall. We thought that we would be getting a room with a refrigerator and microwave but did not. When we inquired at the desk about this, I was given some convoluted explanation which I did not understand.
The room had only a stall shower, no tub, which was not important to me, but is to many people.
The breakfast was average: cereal, bagels, juice, and make-your-own waffles. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. They have flat-screen TVs. The staff works hard to maintain the facility.
The bottom line is that our stay was good enough for what we needed.

When I booked this, I didn't know LaQuinta allowed pets. It is obvious they have had many accidents in the hallways. NOT GOOD. The breakfast was a little less than average. They survey Maxwell House coffee. This seems odd. Maxwell House is such a cheap brand. When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell and waited for 8 minutes. I was just about to go out to the car and get my phone to call when the clerk came up from the back. Don't know what that was about.

This hotel isn't as high quality as the one on ulmerton rd in st Pete but the price is right. The rooms wi-fi didn't work. Had to go out into the center court or elsewhere toward the lobby to get wifi. I never felt unsafe here- however the first night I stayed there was a lotta wildness going on in the middle of the night. I would stay here again - it's centrally located and shopping was a mile away. Also the Denny's next door is good and the staff are super friendly.
