My husband and I stayed recently at this Marriott because we were disenchanted with other St Pete choices and knew we could count on the Marriott reputation. We were fortunate to get in when we made the reservation 6 months early because of a 1/2 marathon race during the weekend. Many thanks to a staff member for working us in! We took advantage of the senior rate and had a very clean and welcoming room for 3 nights. Our young granddaughters joined us on the last night, and the sofa bed proved to work well for them. Many thanks to all the staff members who helped us with our room arrangements, upkeep, breakfast, directions to local spots, and parking. We will definitely stay again!

I checked in to the Mariott while my husband was in the hospital at Bayfront. Sadly, I waited until I literally couldn't stand another minute at the neighbor hotel, The Hollander. The Mariott was spotlessly clean, the room fantastic, quiet, great staff and best of all, they offered a special due to my husband's medical situation.

We will return to this gem of a hotel and recommend it highly.
It would be nice if there were a place to grab a coffee or sandwich but another great find, the cafe at the All Children's Hospital. Believe it or not, they had fantastic food and very inexpensive.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel Debbie at the front desk is awesome. Thanks to Candy at the bar she is warm and welcoming after a hard days of work. The rooms are large and very clean which considering the age of the hotel is wonderful. Marco is willing to shuttle you around St. Petersburg with a smile. The work out room is large enough for the hotel I have stayed here many nights and have not had to wait on equipment. Thanks for making my hotel stay friendly and warm.

Our room was large, clean and had the usual Courtyard feel and furniture. You know what you are getting. This is an historical hotel which has a nostalgic kind of 30s - 40s feel to it which we liked. Gives it some charm. Several of the reviews I read mention that it is not in a good area. We had no problems. Parked right on the street by the entrance and left the car overnight. Quiet and convenient. It was only a 10 minute walk to the restaurant area and the water. We always like having the snack bar when we come back from a day of walking or after dinner for a little dessert. The only real suggestion I would give is to either position the tv closer to the bed or have a bit larger tv as it is kind of a distance when viewing from the bed.
