“Crave worthy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

I am obsessed with Taqueria.
Really. It's bad. I get one thing- Casita bowl with carnitas (amazingly tender pork!). I have it probably twice a week. I dream about it. The salsa, the pico de gallo & the guacamole.....
You get it.
I wash it all down with an icy cold Pacifico. This is all delivered by a lovely, lively staff in an eclectically cool environment.
Dreams do come true here in St Pete.

“Delicious cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

This is a must visit on the Central Ave. corridor if you like casual dining. I recommend the blackened fish taco and nachos. The service is fine and the atmosphere is comfortable. I plan a revisit on my next visit to St. Pete.

“So much better than Taco Bus!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

You can have your tacos out of a bus (Taco Bus) I prefer mine from Casita Taqueria!!! We were spoiled because Casita Taqueria used to be right down the street in a small location, now they are a little further away but in an awesome location with tons of outdoor seating. The food blows Taco Bus away! You can taste the freshness. The local fresh fish tacos are always a hit, so is the chorizo taco, carne asada, and shrimp tacos. Get three of four, trust me you will share! Their taco bowls are delicious too. Love the salsa and guacamole too. Friendly and happy staff with a great atmosphere makes this a must stop! Do yourself a favor, pass the Taco Bus stop and go to Casita Taqueria!

“Better than tex mex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

We were fans of this small taqueria before it had to move from its tiny Fourth street location to make way for Trader Joe's. The new Central Ave location is much more open and airy. The service is quick and the prices are reasonable. Their homemade corn tortillas are excellent but there chips and salsa are nothing special. The guac and tomatillo salsa are outstanding and the tacos are fresh and filling, (as long as you have 2-3). My only complaint, (other than the dull chips), is the food always seems to come out warm, but not hot. It could be soup or tacos,,it doesn't seem to matter, but perhaps the kitchen needs to invest in hot lamps. I like hot or cold soups, but not warm. More daily specials would also make them stand out more.
