I was staying in the adjoining hotel, The Hollander, and had no intention of dining in a hotel "bar". But my first night I was too tired to go elsewhere.
Reluctantly, I ordered a Greek salad a hamburger. The Greek salad was amazing!!!! A big bowl of fresh mixed greens, thin slivers of red onion, black olives, cherry tomatoes, feta, peppers Ana a beautiful well balanced Greek dressing. It wasn't overwhelming but had a perfect bite. I devoured it!
I didn't think I would be able to eat my burger, but it arrived on a toasted Kaiser roll cooked perfectly and served with a jalapeño cole slaw. I piled the slaw on the bun, added mustard and ketchup and dug in, leaving nothing but crumbs!
The next night I had the salad again and the hummus wrap. The wrap was very tasty but I longed for the burger!
My third night I wasn't too hungry so I had two apps. I had read good and bad reviews on the Asian dumplings so I was leery, but the server suggested steamed. So I went for it. They were delicious! I also had the Thai shrimp. They were plump and crisp, but the dumplings were my favorite.
My last night I returned to the salad and burger. Again my plate showed little evidence they had ever been there.
The servers were each and every one exceptional. It's like this little pub hired a professional chef and servers. It was such a wonderful surprise to find such a quaint place with great food and service.
I'm not a beer drinker, but I have to mention their extensive section of mucous-brewed beers on tap. It was fun to watch people walk in and drool over the selection. It made me wish I liked beer!
