We found this hotel on trip advisor when all other hotels we checked out were full. The Tap Room had good food that was reasonably priced. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast on the front porch. The rooms were small with no phones, but just fine as we were only there for one night. The people working at the desk were very helpful and friendly as were the waitresses. Overall, we liked this hotel and would go back. Our only complaint was a group of people who partied in the halls until after 3:00 AM. We did share this with the desk people who said they had received other complaints about this.

Tap room was great fun, but rooms left a bit to be desired; sparsely furnished and not very well provisioned. However we enjoyed our 2 night stay as the tap room had great craft beers, food and atmosphere. They only do breakfast on Sat/Sun however staff recommended Central Cafe which was great and walkable. Parking is tight. Bit far to walk to main attractions, but you can get a 50c trolley ride which loops past everything of interest.

The location of this hotel was perfect for the job we came to do. The proprietors have obviously worked very hard (and are still working) to make a success of the business. The lobby, bar, restaurant, and coffee shop downstairs were beautiful. The employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful and eager to please.
That said, there were a few issues with the room. Most of them were minor, but one troubled us deeply. The rooms are very small and the walls thin. The last night or two, the sound of the people in the room above us made sleeping difficult. No tissues in the room, no wastebasket in the bathroom, no hair dryer (one was provided when we asked, but didn't work very well). Parking was often difficult, especially on weekends. The grassy area is usually fine, except that, of course, it was muddy after a rain, and when it was crowded it was difficult to navigate through the haphazardly parked cars. We were almost completely parked in the morning we had to leave to catch our flight home.
Our major problem was that on the second night we discovered that half of my husband's prescription medication was missing. We told the manager, who was very concerned and was going to investigate and get back to us about the matter. We never heard back from him. The rest of our visit was a little uncomfortable, since after that we no longer felt that our belongings were safe in the room when we went out.
