First of all, consider the attraction and then the price. This place is a nice way to kill an hour or two. There are a lot of different types of flora from around the world. A few birds, Flamingos, and Koi fish. This is an easy walk on paved paths and is actually quite cool for the warm Florida weather. There are plenty places to sit (I suggest in the Oak Tree area) and think/relax, and a few photo opportunities for those with an artist eye. There are a few mini waterfalls, and most of the water areas are stocked with huge koi!
The gardens will probably not fancy a child who is walking on their own as there just isn't much stimulation for a child. I would suggest, if you are taking children that you get them a disposable or other cheap camera to keep their attention while you take in all of the fresh air, and beautiful green scenery.
People have come to expect far to much and often miss the most smallest and beautifulest of things with their grandeur eyes.
