“WONDERFUL VENUE IN AN HISTORIC BUILDING”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

My daughter took me to the Palladium and I didn't know what to expect. All the original details from the buildings history is present. I agree that the chairs are not very comfortable but the sound and its decor overcomes this negative.
Parking is at a premium so always arrive early
Look forward to hearing more concerts at this wonderful venue.

“Wide variety of wonderful musical productions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

The Palladium is wonderfully old. Don't expect comfy seats (they're red leather and the originals) or a sound system befitting the Met, but the theater provides a wide variety of wonderful musical productions--local, national, and international--some patriotic, some irreverent, some classical, and others in between. The women at the ticket window are unfailingly and genuinely nice. And if you attend a show presented on the main stage, go a little bit early and stand in a short line to the little concessions window, where you can buy a soft drink and a candy bar or a glass of wine. Then seat yourself on one of the benches lining the perimeter in the lobby until it's time for the show. Once you've been to the Palladium, you'll be back.

“Great Night Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

The Paladium has opened a new jazz venue in their lower level -- I believe it's called the "Side Door." Friends and I attended a performance recently and had a wonderful time. The room is set up cabaret style with small-ish round tables/tablecloths. Free munchies are on the table and a cash bar available on one side of the room. It's a bit crowded, but inviting and comfortable enough.

The performance we saw was excellent musically -- an instrumental trio and two female vocalists. All were fully professional and some had national/international creds. The music was sophisticated but apprehendable and most enjoyable; we are music lovers but not jazz experts.

The performers had fun and so did we. Ticket prices are quite reasonable.
