I've driven by this place a thousand times since they took over the building from a wine store.
I had never really seen people eating at the two tables out front, so I assumed no one was eating there. Then, I went there today and let me just say: wow!
There are a few tables inside and more on a hidden patio out back and the place was packed. There was even a line out the door with people waiting to order. (More about that later.)
We went pretty simple: I had a carnitas taco and a pollo verde, while my wife had the pollo verde and pollo asada. We also had chips and salsa. All were winners, but the verde tacos were easily the best of the day. Tacos are made on 6-inch soft shells. Next time, I'll order three tacos.
I would've gotten a third one today, but the long, unmoving line out the door was a little discouraging and the one disappointment of the day. Once you order, the food comes out fast, but they've got to figure out a way to expedite the ordering process, especially for first-timers.
But for food of this quality, I'll be happy to wait in line again any time. Maybe even tomorrow.
