I am a regular here for lunch. Love the fresh caprese and order the italian soda if you are having a bad day at work. Great fresh bread and olive oil/balsamic from the olive oil store next door. Sandwiches are large. Nice euro-urban relaxing sophisticated atmosphere and rat pack music playing as opposed to industry standard red and white checkered tablecloths and FM radio. High top tables, outdoor seating, bar seating or standard table seating so solo or small groups are both fine. Pasta fagiole is good, however sometimes over-miked, over-fenneled and over-sausaged (can you work on that?). Good service at lunch, however I hear this place can get packed on weekends and if you are pressed for time before a show...you may want to rethink. Overall it's a great little place.

The food here was quite good, Italian with a little twist but the reason to go is to Listen to Igor play his guitar. It is electric acoustic and very nice.

My wife has a dairy allergery and we were assured that the bolognese was dairy free, later when the chef came out to take a break, in the course of conversation, he informed us that he "throws some cheese in the bolognese" when he makes it. So don't go here if you have allergy issues, they don't seem to care very much.

We were looking for Italian food, and happened upon Moscato's Bella Cucina. Noticing a Trip Advisor sticker on their window, we knew that was a good sign! We were so WOWED and AWED that we returned 3 times during our holiday. Would've eaten there every day, except they were closed over Christmas to honor their familia. We thought it was another good sign-the owners taking time out for the important things in life.

The owners, Bill and Yolanda and their lovely daughter Allesondra greet their guests with such warmth and friendliness, we felt like we were invited into their home. The cafe is small but elegant and comfortable and nicely decorated.

Bill is the main chef and he has such passion and respect for food, it translates into a truely amazing experience for the diners. He makes from scratch and on site: pasta (fettucine and angel hair), bread, sausage, meatballs, all sauces and salad dressings. The home-made bread is so fresh and delicious, we had to stop ourselves from asking for more and spoiling our appetite...it was so tempting. The salads tasted (and looked) freshly picked and the dressings were to-die-for. The soups are hearty and flavorful. The pizza was the best I have tasted since we visited a pizza parlour in Little Italy in NYC. Actually it was better! Bill makes his own crust and it is divine. The toppings were fresh and tasty. We also consumed a few meals of the worlds best pasta! The aroma as it was brought to the table was mouth-watering. The flavours were a joy to the palate. We thought we were in heaven!! All the portions were generous and filling. Try to find some room for their desserts and coffees. We weren't able to, but will try on our next holiday!

Prices are incredibly reasonable and the presentation is beautiful. There is live music on friday and saturday nights. The service, and quality of food, in our opinion, is the very best in all of St Petes, and thats says it all, as there are many good places to eat in this city. We can't wait to return! Outstanding!

We live nearby and have been to Moscato's several times. We recently went in December to celebrate the holidays with friends. We have had excellent meals each time and in addition, good, friendly service. The lemon pasta and Marsala chicken are very good. Meals come with salad and bread. The restaurant is small with a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is located right on Central in downtown St. Pete- a great location!
