I have stayed here numerous times and am always happy with the service and the hotel. Old hotel modern and great staff.

We were concern about termite review. The day we got there termite pest company was there which made us feel good, loved that they were on it immediately. After much thought, we had dinner, I was GREAT, glad we made the choice. The price was incredible. The attention given to us and other guest was well felt. I am glad we did not change locations, looking forward to next stay in fall.

Room Tip: You can always stay at a big chain hotel, but at the Pier you will always feel welcomed & at hom...

We made a reservation for an 3 nite stay in Dec for a Blues Fest in St Petes in in April, more
than 3 months in advance. Check in was fine, hotel staff friendly, room fine..... The continental breakfast was free the parking was not...although advertised as free in Dec when we booked ...that changed. We didn't complain as we were aware due to earlier comments. Ordered a hot breakfast at an extra cost the first morning is was not that good and we ate else where the next two mornings, would have had a captive audience for breakfast which they lost after the first attempt.
Blues fest was so great that its really a shame that the only problem the whole weekend was the lack of concern about a problem in the room when presented to the staff at the front desk. We had termite wings all around the bathroom...that increased over the three nites...indicating a infestation of termites.....The last nite I opened a new roll of toilet paper wrapped in paper and it was full of maggot looking bugs....when I pointed this out to the front desk the next morning, I was told it was termite larve....gross. The front desk said they were dealing with the "problem" but when they had told previous guests that the toilet paper bugs were termite larve "It made them feel better" whats that about? gross ...not again...so sorry but there are other options.
Our friends room was fine...just avoid the rear of the building

This hotel is straight out of a movie set, circa boarding house of a bygone era. The front porch is welcoming, as is the staff. Although the rooms are just adequate and the bathrooms are tiny, the wood accents and antique pieces all add to the charm. Jane's recommendations for restaurants were spot on. We would return here.

Room Tip: Front rooms are warm due to the sun.

We enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend at this small boutique hotel in downtown St. Pete. More of a B&B than a hotel, the owners sit and visit on the front veranda while always asking if they may get you anything to make your stay a little better. It IS an old hotel with all that goes with it, but the refurbishing has been done with great care and attention to detail. It is still a work in progress (new kitchen sink installed during our stay required short periods of no water), but, everyone was like family and just took it all in stride. Trolley picks you up right in front of the hotel and you never need to get in your car. Breakfast left a little to be desired, but no big deal to us.

Room Tip: No pool or fitness center.

My friend and I chose this hotel for it's walking location to museums, restaurants and shopping and were rewarded with a small charming boutique hotel with a staff that aims to please. I've stayed here before and since my last visit they have added a dinner menu and hot breakfast. If you want a hotel with the personal touch, this is the place!

Room Tip: There is no elevator.

The hotel is very quaint and much more interesting than a chain hotel. The staff was great fun and made us feel very welcome. All the charm of a B&B but better. The chef Giovanni made a fabulous dinner for us and gave us individual attention. The location is fabulous....walking to great museums, cute shops and lots of sidewalk cafes. We loved happy hour on the hotel's veranda. We plan to return next spring!

Room Tip: There are many room options. We chose a king room with a microwave and fridge. The bathroom was sm...
