Attending three days of meetings in St. Petersburg, (see review for Hilton, St. Pete Bayfront), we had dinner here on Friday night. Location is excellent, for me at least, about a block south of the hotel. In fact, I could see the building from my room. Very friendly bar area with reasonably priced drinks while I waited for the rest of my party. There were ten in the party, and there was no problem setting up for a party. The restaurant is located on the upper level of the terminal building for Albert Whitted Airport, which caters lto small planes and helicopters. They advertise helicopter rides over Tampa Bay and I also saw that they had bi-plane rides. It should be noted that they give the kids the balsa wood planes that we played with as kids, a clever nod to the location. They are open 8 A.M. to 11 P.M. for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Elevators are available and they are set up for handi-capped access. Food is excellent and also reasonably priced. There is live music, the night I was there it was a guy with some pre-recorded music and he played the trumpet, coronet and trombone and sang. I did note that the volume was reasonable and conversation during dinner was easily maintained. I also noted that the Dali Museum is located on the road on the north side of the restaurant. I would have stayed another day to see the museum but had another meeting Monday morning at home. All in all this restaurant is highly recommended and I will return when I go back to see the Dali Museum.
