This collection of glassmeister Dale Chihuly's work provides a sampling of his greatest hits: the anemone-like pieces that bedeck the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the vaguely botanical spikes that crop up when he does shows at conservatories around the country, those twisty chandeliers he creates for high end condos and hotels, and a colored globe filled boat that's become one of his calling cards. There are even a few pieces from his early years when he was studying with Venini in Murano -- hilariously tacky creations that look like they came from a bad gift shop beside a Venetian canal. A nice film gives background on the man and his work, and answers the age-old question: did the master create these things himself, or was it all done by his elves? I won't tell :)
