“A good Mexican restaurant in St. Petersburg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

The Red Mesa Cantina is a popular Mexican restuarant in downtown St. Petersburg, FL.
It is a good variety of Mexican dishes.
The food is good, but the service is inconsistent - since they are usually very busy.
It is large, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

“2 for 2 & batting 1.000.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

This was our second visit to Red Mesa. Went there last year during Spring Training & was quite pleased. This year was even better. Took some friends who loved it, too. Arrived at 9PM & was promptly seated. George was our waiter & took great care of us. Drinks, appetizers, entrees & desserts were all outstanding. No complaints by any of us. Reasonably priced - 4 appetizers, 5 entrees, 4 alcoholic beverages & 3 desserts for $145. Great outdoor atmosphere. Already looking forward to 2014 Spring Training.

“Amazing, but expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

I love every single thing in that place... the waiter was very friendly and funny talking to me about my options, food is very very yummy, visual is PERFECT, with a nice font and lovely nights... such a very romantic place. But everything has a price, and the price there can be a little high. I think it's worth tough.

“Perfect margarita, atmosphere, food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

If you are looking for a really excellent homemade margarita then go no further than Red Mesa Cantina in downtown St Petersburg FL.

Carl the bartender makes a Hot Carlos margarita that is the best spicy drink I have ever had

Brunch food was great and service impeccable. Love the big outdoor patio too

Try it. You will live it

“Great Outdoor Eating Space”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

This ever popular eating establishment never fails to impress with authentic TEx/Mex dishes that delight the palate. Request outdoor dining though because the indoor area is very loud and you cant hear your dinner companion!
