“Nice and Quaint Hotel in Downtown St. Petersburg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

The Hotel Indigo is owned by the same company that owns Holiday Inn. However, the experience is completely different. The hotel is much smaller than average, but service is their number one priority. Anytime I needed something, the front desk person would help without an issue.

When you pull up to the hotel, there is a nice patio area outside to sit and hang out. Inside, the Hotel Indigo features bright green and pink modern decor, which is unlike other hotels I've stayed at.

The hotel did have a semi-rustic feel, especially the doors and door knobs. But the furniture was all new, almost as if I was the first person to stay in my room. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was a little small.

I look forward to staying in more Hotel Indigo properties in the near future.

This will be my choice for stay when visiting downtown St. Pete. The customer service by the two front desk staff was superb, Raquel and Nominisha (hope I have spelled those correctly!)
The bartender woke up on the wrong side of bed - but the other staff members clearly made up for it. We patronized the bar at three different times and while wanting to not tip him, we did anyway.
Too bad because the rating goes from excellent to very good because of his service.
The pool needed to be cleaned of debris but it did not have algae or anything of that sort, just some dirt and leaves floating about.
The Sunday breakfast was quick and it was nice to sit outside. The server was excellent.
Clean, quaint, great pillows and bed, nice desk area, huge closet! Aveda products for use!
This is my new favorite and since I visit the area about every two months, this will be my choice for accommodations from now on.
Free parking that was secure since we had no problems with a car that was full of valuables. I had heard there were homeless people in the area through other reviews that seemed to be a problem for some people. While we did see some people that appeared to be homeless, they never bothered us. There is a shelter perhaps close by. Since it is a downtown area, we expected it.
Lovely stay -
This was a business and a friend stay and it worked well for both.

Room Tip: Our room was directly behind the front desk! Super room!

This was our 5th stay at the Hotel Indigo and it won’t be our last. This hotel is wonderful. From the south Florida charm, to the wonderful desk staff and the eclectic décor, this hotel WOW’s ever time.

Check it is smooth and seamless, even a small snafu with a friend’s reservation was quickly and calmly handled, no fuss, no muss. Our room was great, spacious and comfortably cool. And always very clean and well maintained.

The Indigo is an older hotel with 72 guest rooms, lobby bar, on-site restaurant, event rooms, swimming pool and hot tub. Located just steps from downtown St. Petersburg for us this is a perfect spot. We can catch the free trolley to Tropicana Field and of course wander Beach Drive and Central Ave.

A small hotel with all the amenities you could want. In a restored building right next to downtown, they've built a lovely little haven. My room had 2 double beds (heavenly mattress and lots of pillows) a modern bath with Aveda toiletries, flat screen tv and a real clost. In the lobby there is a spacious bar that serves a limited brekfast menu and wonderful coffee. After 5pm it is a full service bar including several tables where you can order dinner from their menu. Staff at hotel are very friendly and accommodating. Only issue I had was the elevator (I will not ride one alone) had an odd habit of bouncing when it stopped. But riding it with friends I braved it. There's also stairs conveniently located at the end of the hall. Hotel is handicap accessible and parking is quite adequate. But it's location makes it a short walk to the restaurants and shops downtown.

Room Tip: Very limited supply of king bed rooms, all are non-smoking and it is pet friendly.

Indigo was one of the hotels suggested in our guide which looked the best deal quality/price than the others we visited. It's an old building just refurbished in a colours/design mood. It was quite uncomfortable to reach the room with the baggage as it was at the end of an hallway, with a lot of up and down steps. The room and bathroom we got were quite small, but clean and overall nice.
The hotel is two blocks far from the restaurants area and 15 minutes walking from Dali museum. We did not try the pool, but from outside seemed not inviting. The helpfulness and kindness of the staff depends on who is on duty.

Love the atomsphere, bar, and cafe. The room is small and the bathroom smaller, but the decorating is great. The room was clean, the service was good, and the price was reasonable. Perfect for a quick weekend get-a-away. We would definitely stay there again. Temperature in the room was perfect and the bed comfortable. The hallways were a like an "Alice and Wonderland" maze (especially after happy hour).

I stayed tat the hotel indigo for a week for business purposes. Nomonisha at the fron desk is an asset to the company and went above and beyond for our gruop. The rooms were small but nice and clean, beds were extremely comfortable. I would have put an excellent rating but the bathrooms are very tiny and the shower floor was very old. It could use new tile and grout as it was flaking up and apperaed dingy. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.
